Topics include privacy, security, law of torts in computing, and legal protection of software. The course covers ethical frameworks, critical thinking skills and a wide variety of social, ethical and professional issues that have arisen or take on different forms due to the prevalence of computers. These issues are pertinent to professionals in the computing field. By the end of the term students have a better understanding of these issues and are in a position to argue about the nuances of the issues.
